Melanistic Desert Lynx !!
     It is said a Desert Lynx is a Bobcat and domestic cat hybrid. To be registered as a Desert Lynx there pedigre must show at least an average percentage of 12.5% Bobcat in them. They come in both long and short haired and may be long or short tailed, but all our kittens available are bob-tailed and short haired. Males have been known to go over 20 pounds when full grown and females average 12-14 pounds.

         Our goals at Bamboo is to produce the best Bengals possible at an affordable price. All Bamboo kittens are sold with a written health guarantee. We are raising "Early generation domestic Bengals" includes F1s, F2s, or F3s (1st, 2nd, & 3rd generation).

Early Generation (EG) Bengal Kittens

   Early generation kittens (F1, F2, & F3) are more exotic than later generation (F4 plus) kittens and because some retain the instinct to flee when scared, some may do better in homes without very young children. As with any cat, some young children can not be trusted to let go if cat is spooked and may be unintentionally hurt.

    Buyers Beware: Bottle raising is not enough, socializing the kitten as part of the family is the key to a sweet, loving, calm disposition. Bamboo takes pride in producing very sweet, outgoing, well socialized early generation Bengals. We have a saying here, its socialization not generation. Many breeders blame the generation for their short comings.
    Because all F1, almost all F2 and most F3 males are infertile they are sold as pets only. Bamboo bottle feeds and well socializes their early generation Bengal kittens and does everything it can to raise the sweetest kittens possible. They are litter box trained, and feed regular quality cat food even dry. Many of our customers feel our early generation Bengals are even sweeter than other Bengals and other breeds of domestic cats. Contrary to what some later generation breeders say, they require NO special care or enviorment.
     Male pet prices start at $1500 for F1's, $1000 for F2's, $800 for F3's. Breeder females start at $2000-$3000 for F1's, $1500-$2000 for F2's, and $1200-$1500 for 3's . We require a $100 deposit to reserve an early generation Bengal kitten.
     We will also be raising some kittens out of F1 Bengal females bred back to our Asian Leopard Cats, some call these 3/4 F1 Bengals. They virtually look like the Asian Leopard Cats, but are still domestic Bengals. Males 3/4 F1s will be available for pets starting at $2000 each. Sorry, no 3/4 females will be available in 2002.

        All Bamboo Bengal cats/kittens that we sell are registered with the  International Progressive Cat Breeders' Alliance 'IPCBA'. Breeders will be supplied with TICA papers as well. They also may be eligible for registration in other registries that register Bengal Cats.

    If you would like to reserve a Bengal kitten or be placed on our waiting list, please send the appropriate  deposit to Marie Bloodgood 11290 N. Dixie Hwy., Bonnieville, KY 42713 and please email us at bamboocats@bamboocats.8k.com or call us at (270) 531-7966 and let us know the sex, type, color, quality, and if for a pet, breeder, or show.
    Deposits are refundable or transferable on pre-ordered kittens (not born yet). Once a deposit is place on a certain living kitten, refunds will not be transferable or refundable unless the kitten proves to not be of the quality first thought. We require a deposit to make sure that the customer is serious about buying a Bamboo Bengal.

Shipping

        We raise each kitten in our home as part of our family so we  prefer that our customers pick up their kitten, so we can meet them face to face.
    Since this is not always feasible for everyone, we do ship safely from Louisville International Airport. Bamboo supplies the health certificate, carrier, and transportation to the Louisville Airport. Buyer is responsible for all other shipping expenses.
